When we were little, most of us have dreamed to have an amazing tree house. As a refuge – a secret place where we could establish a secret club house away from our parents.
Yet, there are people who have those tree houses as a part of their reality. In some countries, trees are not viewed as exotic, but as part of everyday life. In New Guinea, for example, the Korowai people live in treehouses permanently.
Their homes, food, and animals are kept in their homes on a tree, above the earth, where they are protected from flooding.
Fortunately, the tree house has become more than just a fairytale-like hideout or exotic living in distant countries. It is a possible reality for those who seek to realize some of their greatest childhood dreams.
